Warrensburg

Founded in 1856 by settler Martin Warren.  One of the elementary schools (Martin Warren Elementary) is named after the town's founder. THe phrase "Man's best friend" is based on a famous trail over the killing of Old Drum, a dog commemorated by a statue in front of the Warrensburg Courthouse. Warrensburg is a short drive west of Whiteman Airforce Base and Home to the University of Central Missouri.

Sedalia

Founded in 1860 as a railroad town, Sedalia is a community rich in history and confidently pursuing its future as a 21st century city.  The city's economy continues to shift from the railroad-based economy of the 1900's to the ever-diversifying manufacturing and service of today.  New and expanded manufacturing operations continue to grow the service industry and to attract new businesses to the community.  Much of the area surrounding Sedalia continues to be active farmland, keeping Sedalia connected to its roots while driving growth forward towards its future.
